Writings in the Field of American Lutheranism: 1995
Compiled by Dr. James Albers, Mr. John N. Dickmeyer and Rev. Robert E. Smith
This year's belated index is the latest installment in our bibliography of items related to the history of Lutheranism in America. It covers items published in the calendar year 1995 and items from prior years whibh were missed in previous indexes.
For the first time, primary sources in the history of Lutheranism are beginning to appear on the Internet. In the field of American Lutheranism, the work of some hymn writers appeared in electronic form during 1995. In next year's index, we hope to provide entries which cite individual documents and hymn collections present in this new medium. In this year's index, we provide the URLs for selected sites.
As in previous years, we once again appeal to LHC members for help in compiling next year's index. Although the tools of modern library research are excellent, they are not nor are not likely to become exhaustive. Please send us citations of your own work as well as those of your colleagues. We are especially interested in local, private and unindexed theses of note.
