Three Notes from Your Membership Secretary
1. Dues
Please take a look at the mailing label on your hard copy of the newsletter. You will find a two-digit number at the right top corner. If this reads “00,” “01” or “02,” you may skip to the next paragraph in this notice. But if that number reads “99,” you are urged to send your renewal dues of $25.00 per year to the new LHC membership secretary (address below). Please do this as soon as possible so that you will be eligible to receive your copies of the Essays and Reports and of new monographs to be sent to all current members very soon. Members who have paid for the year 2000 will be entitled to a new monograph publication. Those who pay for 2001 will receive two volumes of Essays and Reports.
If your mailing label reads “COMP” at the top right corner, you are invited to send payment for your institution to the same address. If you do so, your institution will receive those new publications soon to be released.
2. Directory
Most of you who sent your renewal payments also included information to be included in our new membership directory. By the end of this year, this directory will be published on our website. However, some of you who sent your payment did not specify that you wish to be included in the directory or did not send any information at all.
If you know for certain that you did include your name, addresses, phone number(s) and position with your renewal payment and also are certain you specified that you want to be included in the directory, you may skip to the next note. If you are not sure of this or you want to change your information, please send the form below to the email or mailing address below as soon as possible. Should you wish further information, please email or telephone the membership secretary. Thank you!
3. Resignation
Due to some present personal circumstances, I must resign from my duties as your Membership Secretary for the time being, effective the end of this year. I have been happy to serve all of you in this capacity. Thank you for the opportunity!
[Note: At its meeting following the LHC biennial meeting in Milwaukee on 21 October 2000, the LHC Board of Directors appointed Marvin Huggins to serve as the new membership secretary. New membership payments, membership renewals and directory information should be sent to:
